Westside Commons, a new affordable housing community in Wisconsin, will aid in the revitalization of Wausau’s west side. Located at the former Westside Battery site, this inclusive community will feature:
- 56 one-, two-, and three-bedroom modern apartment homes.
- Each unit ranges from 578 to 1,225 square feet.
- Residents will enjoy in-unit washers and dryers, available storage units, a community exercise room, and dedicated on-site property management.
Housing communities like these require federal, state, and local support, along with innovative solutions from municipalities, governmental organizations, and nonprofits. Gorman & Company is proud to work alongside the City of Wausau, One 5 Olive, and Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan to bring this site back to life and positively impact surrounding neighborhoods.
“Gorman & Company, with the help of our tremendous partners, have dedicated several years to thoughtfully redeveloping the former Westside Battery site. Together, we are transforming this once underutilized parcel into a vibrant and impressive gateway to Wausau’s downtown district.”
Ted Matkom, Gorman & Company’s Wisconsin Market President
