Gorman & Company serves as General Contractor on its development projects. We believe this is the best way to ensure high quality and timely construction projects. Accountability in-house provides greater attention to detail and support for each construction phase. Gorman continually improves our construction practices with each successive development, managing the entire process in-house.
Because we continue to build superior relationships with strong subcontractors, Gorman & Company is able to achieve top quality results and we often finish projects ahead of schedule. Gorman & Company's construction team consists of project managers, on-site field superintendents, and a general field superintendent. When challenges arise on the job site, Gorman & Company is positioned to quickly resolve issues through close collaboration with its in-house architectural staff.
Gorman & Company was ranked 11th largest Milwaukee-area construction firm by The Business Journal, February, 2008.
Gorman & Company was the pioneer participant in Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority’s (WHEDA’s) EBE program, encouraging the use of minority contractors in the construction of housing. Since the program’s inception, Gorman has been an active participant and the results of Gorman’s efforts in this program have been used to set the bar for other developers. Gorman collaborated with WHEDA and Chamness Consulting in a pilot program to raise the level of minority involvement in construction in WHEDA-financed developments. This pilot program focused on Gorman’s development of the Majestic, which served as a state model to increase minority participation in construction. Gorman & Company has continued that commitment, often surpassing municipal and WHEDA targets.
