In a stolid, industrial city, young people were moving away to neighboring communities to find quality housing. To stem that trend, the city asked Gorman & Company to develop high-quality workforce housing. The result was Buckhorn Station, a 64-unit affordable housing community built on an environmentally remediated “brownfield” site. Buckhorn Station provided the community a more modern version of workforce housing featuring cathedral ceilings, loft designs, individual entrances to each unit, a swimming pool and exercise facility.
